At the beginning of the summer, we went for a drive up the canyon looking for anything cool.Guy spotted an area that kind of looked like a mine, so we got out and hiked up to it. From the bottom of the hill, it didn't look like a very far hike, but once we got started, it was a very huge and steep hill. But we kept hiking and what did we find??? A really cool old mine. We were too nervous to go inside, but there was very cold air coming out of it, so we took pics and rested. Guy was hunting around more and found the real entrance above us with a really cool wooden door. We kept hiking around and found rocks and even a deer shed. It was a very fun day.
Western Underground came to town to put on a show, so we bought tickets and went to the concert. It was a great concert, and we stuck around so long afterwards waiting in line to get an autograph that we got to take a picture with the band as well. I got my purse signed by all of them.
My dad invited us to help push cows off the mountain up Salina canyon. Guy didn't want to go, so I drug my friend Jamie along with me. We rode all day long and the weather was mostly good. It sprinkled on us a little bit, but we're tough. Lots of cows, lots of riding, and lots of food when it was over.
