Trip to Oklahoma...

I went with my parents to see my sister that lives in Oklahoma. I took Kayson with me and it was quite the trip. Going through security at the airport wasn't that bad. I had a carry on and Kayson's stroller/carseat. They had me take Kayson out of stroller and carry him through the metal detector thing, and they sent his stroller and car seat through xray machine on conveyor belt. His stroller got stuck because they didn't collapse it all the way. And they couldn't get it back out, it took two of them to figure out what to do. After that, we made it to our gate with 10 mins to spare. I changed Kayson's diaper and thought we would be fine with the whole diapering thing til we landed in Oklahoma. We got on plane and took off. The flight attendant told me to nurse Kayson so that his ears would pop as we were taking off. That worked out fine, and he fell asleep. I was so glad he was being good. He woke up about half way through the flight screaming his head off. I tried finding his binki, but soon realized that it was in his car seat and probably fell out when it went through the conveyor belt at security. It was the only binki that I had brought with me. So, we still had an hour left of our flight and Kayson would not calm down. Everyone was staring at me, at least that is what it felt like. We were hitting turbulance, so the seat belt symbol was on, but I had no choice but to stand up in the aisle and rock him. It worked, he calmed down. Thankgoodness, but then I could feel him filling up his diaper. I knew that I needed to change him soon, but the line to the bathroom was 7 people deep, so I waited and waited. He kept filling and filling. It started to come out the top of the diaper, so me and my mom stripped him down on the fold out tables and changed him. I didn't know what else to do but put his clothes and dirty diaper in a barf bag. The first stop we made when we got to Oklahoma was Target to buy more binki's.

Hiking in Kolob...

We drove up to Kolob and hiked around a little. A storm was heading in, so it was a bit cold.

Now into January...

The weather was unseasonably warm, so we went out in the boonies and roasted a hot dog. Kayson loved sitting in the camp chair and staring at the fire.

5 Generation pic...

Just before Christmas, we visited my great gma, which is Kayson's great-great gma. He was so good with her. He talked to her and gave her kisses and just snuggled. She was so glad to see him. Kayson is my mom's first grandchild, my grandma's first great grandchild and my great grandma's first great-great grandchild.

Kayson's blessing...

Kayson was blessed on December 11th. Somehow in all the hustle, I didn't get a picture with Guy, Kayson, and me. This is the only picture that I took on that day. This is my mom and dad and youngest sister Samantha.

Christmas Tree Hunting...

We went into the mountains this year to cut down our own Christmas tree. It was such a nice day and lots of muddy roads for Guy to drive on. We drove most of day hunting around looking for the perfect tree. I spotted one that looked like the one for us and guy drove right to it. Me and Kayson got out of the truck though because it looked like it would be too wild of a ride.

Vegas in December...

After a day at the Grand Canyon, we went to Vegas. My mom came for the day to babysit Kayson. It was sad to leave him, but good to get away. We visited Cowboy Christmas then headed to the Thomas and Mack Center to watch the rodeo. Afterwards, we had dinner at the Belagio's buffet. It was so delicious, but we practically rolled out of there. We were leaving the Belagio just in time to see the water show outside. It was really neat to watch. And last we visited the Coca Cola and M&M stores on the strip.

More Grand Canyon Pics...

By the time we left the Grand Canyon, the sun finally came out and melted off the snow.
We had a blast even though it was very cold.

Grand Canyon

Our friends from Logan came and stayed with us for a weekend in December. We went to the Grand Canyon while they were here, and as you can see it was a snowy day.

Catching up a little...

The next few posts will be me trying to catch up. A lot has happened since my last post in November!!!
