Work Halloween party...

We had a little Halloween party at work on Wednesday...yeah a few days early, but it was fun. Everyone brought treats and we ate and ate all day. This is a pic of the girls and one boy that work during the day.

And here are the few of us that work during the evening. Happy Halloween!!!

Guy's new toy...

Guy has been obsessively looking on ksl and auto trader for a new truck. Well, not exactly new, but new to him. He found a black one that he really wanted, and that was a great price, but when he called, the owner had just sold it the day before. So he kept looking and looking and found one in Heber. So we went there for a day trip today to check it out. First we had to fill our bellies with delicious food from Granny's. My boss at work highly recommended it and now I highly recommend it too. Don't leave Heber without eating there.

Then off to the house where the new truck lived. We took it for a test drive, and Guy looked it over and even had to put it in 4-wheel drive just in case. It passed the test and we bought it.

This is a very happy boy driving his new toy.

On the way back to Logan from Heber we passed this rock formation on the side of the highway. It is called Devil's Slide, and I think it is crazy looking. So we jumped off the highway just long enough to snap a pic.

New Heater...

So we bought a space heater to go in our room because it is so flippin' cold up here in Logan. We really love it, but I think that Dallie loves it way more than us. This is where she lays 24/7, except when she is outside or beating Spike up. But even then, she doesn't hardly let the heater out of her site.

Snow day and dogs...

My dogs love to look out the upstairs window to see if anything is in their yard. This morning Jessica was in the way but that didn't stop them from looking out the window.

It snowed at our house last night. Not very much, but enough to make it way colder than I would like it to be.

Dallie is looking outside and telling me that she doesn't want to go out there.

Jessica did her nails in the theme Corpse Bride. I think or maybe it is Nightmare Before Christmas, well either way it took her a long time.

Date Night...

Sorry that these pics are so dark, I had some couple that we didn't know take these pics and apparently the flash wasn't on. So I didn't notice until it was too late that the pics turned out bad. Anyways, if you are wondering why I posted the same pic twice on this post, then look a little closer.

Look at Guy if you still haven't figured it out. He had his sunglasses on for the first pic. What a punk...so we had to take a second one.
We have been going out on Saturday nights with this couple we met in our ward and we have had so much fun. They like alot of the same things that we do, so we get along really well. Thanks for being our friends you two. We ate at the Texas Roadhouse, which just barely opened up here a few weeks ago. It was really packed with people in there and the food was delicious. Before we went to eat, we tried going to a haunted house, but couldn't find it, so we just ate instead.

Apple Pie...

I forgot to put a pic of my apple pie that I made. It was so good that I had to put 3 pics up to show how good it was. Enjoy!!!

Apple Making Weekend...

My neighbor has a few apple tree's in her backyard and has been giving me the wormy apples to feed to my horses (which they love). Then the other day she said that she wasn't going to have any time to put up the good apples that she picked and asked if I wanted them. Well at first I was thinking that I don't have any time either, but then I thought, well they are FREE. So I got all my stuff together and went to work washing and peeling and coring and cooking and stirring and filling and cleaning.

And bottling and peeling and cleaning and coring and cooking and filling and on and on an on. I couldn't believe how much work it was to make this stuff.
I was sure glad that my friend down the street let me borrow this apple peeler and corer. It was so handy.

I made many bottles of apple pie filling and I even bought a crust and made a pie during all this bottling action going on. It was so delicious.

And of course, we tried our hand at applesauce too. It turned out way good, but kind of thick. I still have apples that need to be made into something, but I'm not sure if I want to go through all that work again.
