Roonie's boy-boy...

After Halloween, we bought this stuffed headless horseman for Roonie. It was in the discount bucket and we thought he would like it. Well like it was an under-statement for sure...he absolutely loved it. For days he would pack it around with him, he did not want the other two dogs to even touch it. He would actually take it outside with him to pee, and to bed with him to sleep. It was very cute. So it lasted quite a while, oh yeah I forgot the best part...it had a squeaker in the middle. Roonie would sit and squeak it for hours. He loved it to death...and somehow we started calling it his boy-boy. Just barely tonight, he started destroying it. So here is the process of destruction.

An action packed weekend...

Our weekend was definately packed full of fun...so don't think you are done reading after this post because there are about 4 more or maybe 5. Sunday was the Daytona 500...and in case someone doesn't know what that is, it is like the superbowl for NASCAR. It kicks off the season for us, and now all of our Sunday afternoons are going to be filled with racing. Guy roots for Dale Jr. and I root for Carl Edwards. I was really disappointed to hear that he got married about a month ago...I was really thinking that we had something going. jk But still he could have at least told me. Well the race didn't really go that great because it got rained out at like 50 laps still to go, so they just called the results as they stood right then. Bummer, cause we were so wanting a different outcome...oh well we'll take Matt Kenseth this week.

A good book...

Well for Christmas, Guy bought me a book called The Host. I'm sure you have heard of it. Stephanie Meyer wrote it...you know the author of the Twilight series that we have all been obsessed with for so long. Anyway...it has been sitting on my night stand since then and I haven't had time to even open it. Well today I had some time to at least read the back cover, and it sounds pretty good. Hopefully I have some extra time soon to read it soon. And I will let you know how it is.

Diet Coke fetish...

So ever since I have started classes this semester, I have started drinking diet coke. I'm not sure why...it might be because I'm up late studying, up early getting ready for class, or working at my desk at work all afternoon. It could be a combination of all those things. But whatever it may be, I have to say that I'm addicted. And thanks to whoever thought of diet coke with lime and diet coke with cherry. I couldn't keep going without it. And Guy makes fun of me everytime he see's me drinking it because I have always give him a hard time about drinking mnt. dew. That's okay...if it helps me through my homework, it's way worth it.

Pedicure...

So since we had some extra time this weekend, I decided to do my nails and my toes. I haven't had any time to keep up with it, so I haven't done anything with them since like Thanksgiving...or maybe even before that. My dogs were hanging out with me upstairs and Dallie just wouldn't stay out of lap, so I decided that she probably just wanted her nails done. I painted her toe nails bright red. I don't think that she really appreciated it. And she wouldn't hold still very much, so I accidently got some on her ear...oops.
Then when I wanted to take some pics of her pretty nails, she didn't want to pose very much. She just wanted to get back to her chewy. What dog wouldn't???

Skiing at Beaver Mountain...

Well for Valentines Day, we wanted to do something fun. No flowers, no chocolate, and no candlelight dinner...we decide to go on an adventure. About a month ago, we went for a ride over to Bear Lake and had alot of fun. While there, we went to the visitors center at the lookout area. Of course everywhere we go, we have to get one of each of the brochures and pamphlets. I don't know why we do it, because we have never looked at them ever again, but still we do it. One of them was for skiing at Beaver Mountain. That was the beginning of a great idea. I suggested that we go, and then came the planning. We went home and figured out what weekend was coming up that we didn't already have packed with all the other things that we love doing. It just so happened to be Valentines weekend...perfect. So we have pretty much just been looking forwards to this weekend for a while. I hadn't been skiing since I was in Young Womens and Guy hadn't been skiing since high school, and we aren't exactly young anymore, so it's been a while. I wish that I could have had my camera in hand the whole time, but it was freezing and snowing and I was trying to stay upright most of the time, oh yeah and trying to keep up with Guy. He was a speed deamon...I couldn't catch him. One time I was ahead of him, and somehow I totally crashed into the snow bank. When I looked up to see where Guy was, he was wrecked behind me. He had run into the snow bank trying not to run me over. We had a blast, but the next day, we stayed near our bed most the day because neither one of us could barely walk from being so sore.

Oh yeah...I almost forgot the best part of the pre-ski trip excitement. I heard an ad on the radio about some sporting goods store having a winter sale on gloves. We definately needed some gloves, so we dropped by a couple days before going skiing. They were having such a better sale than we thought. We found gloves, snow pants, beanies, and glasses for 60% off. It was the best score ever, so the red snow pants that I'm wearing in the pic are part of that deal...they were regularly $100 and they were on sale for $18.88. We couldn't pass it up.

Fancy Dinner...

So for Valentines Day, Guy made us a great dinner. I didn't really know what to expect because every time that Guy gets in the kitchen, he gets a little creative. But in a good way...everything he makes it great, but usually different than anything ever before eaten. We went to the store, and bought a bunch of stuff. Guy didn't really have anything specific planned to buy and make, so we bought some random items. Asparagus was on sale, so we bought that, then we made our way around to the meat department, and fish was on sale, so we picked out some tilapia remembering a recipe that we had seen on the back of one of our jars of spices. Then we checked out and went home to the kitchen and went to work. This was the finished product and I was very impressed with it so I had to take a pic. Happy Valentines Day!

Garden...Part 2

So this isn't really part of my garden, but I took a pic of it anyway. Guy got this cactus for me when we were first married. It has been through alot, but it sure has done well. It actually has a baby growing out of it.

And all good gardens take water, and lots of it. So we decided to put the plant stand next to the faucets that come out of the wall. It's like they were put there just for my garden.

We planted tomato's and peppers of all sorts in this one. Hope they will grow.

And here are all of the seeds that we bought. Yeah we might have gotten a little out of hand, but there is still snow on the ground and I so want it to be spring. It will come soon.

I'm at the library...

So I'm at the library and I can't seem to finish my paper...yeah it's due in the morning and it has to be 5-6 pages. I'm only on page 4 and have run out of stuff to add. Oh well...hope I can think of something. Oh yeah...and since I needed a break, I changed my background. I can' t believe it's going to be Valentine's Day so soon, didn't January just start?
